Villa Sarsina

HISTORY

The Sarsina Villa gets its name from the Aldobrandini Princes of Sarsina, who owned it from 1874 to 1926, but the Villa was built by order of Cardinal Neri Maria Corsini from Florence, between 1732 and 1735, supposedly on a project by Ferdinando Fuga. The Cardinal was the nephew of Clemente XII Corsini, who was Pope between 1730 and 1740, that’s why you could see his family crest on the circuit of the belvedere walls.
